New Software Potluck + Work Party

New Software Potluck + Work Party

Dear hOUR Economy members,

Our new software is here, and we’re ready to share it!  Since launching the new software earlier this month, this Saturday will be our first event where we’ll have folks on-hand throughout to help you login, create your profile, and navigate the new online timebanking software. But fear not, it won’t be our last. If weeknights work better than weekends for you, stay tuned…

Join us this Saturday for a two-part event:

(1) Optional Workparty at Geezer Farm from 4-6pm.

We’ll be helping longtime hOUR Economy member Norm Shafer clear some of his farmland fences, so bring an adventurous attitude and (if available) a pair of loppers or garden clippers. Everyone who chooses to participate will earn hours, and no special skills or fitness are required. All are welcome!  Geezer Farm is an excellent example of a market garden founded on permaculture principles, so you’re also welcome to come learn and see for yourself what he has cooking in those garden beds.

(2) Potluck & Software Party at 6pm.

Bring a main dish, side, dessert, or friend. We’ll share food inside or on the porch, while rotating volunteers through the software signup desk. Don’t worry
— we promise to be fun and welcoming, not just a tech lecture!  Long-time hOUR economy members and the newly interested are all invited to join.
